Gopika Gnanakumar

Gopika is a policy leader with over 15 years of experience advising governments and organisations across Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom, spanning roles in public sector, professional services and international finance. She currently provides commercial and policy advice on major infrastructure projects within the Victorian Public Service and has previously held roles at the New Zealand Treasury, EY and PwC, advising on complex issues including artificial intelligence policy, digital reform, and major infrastructure.
Gopika holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws from the University of Auckland, a Master of Laws from the University of Melbourne, and is a Chartered Accountant. She brings a deep commitment to the safety and wellbeing of women and children, grounded in experience as a crisis support worker at Wellington Women's Refuge and as a former Board Director of UNICEF New Zealand. In her spare time, Gopika is passionate about the arts and is an aspiring filmmaker/screenwriter.
